Hema Malini, who is fondly called as the ‘Dream Girl’ of Bollywood, recently revealed interesting anecdotes from her Holi song ‘Bhagi Re Bhagi Brij Bala’ shoot on one of the episodes of Indian Idol 15.
In 1981, Hema Malini was pregnant with her first child, Esha Deol. Despite being eight months pregnant, she filmed the song Bhagi Re Bhagi Brij Bala alongside her husband, Dharmendra.
Hema Malini concealed her pregnancy with her costume while filming the song for Rajput, starring Rajesh Khanna. In a recent appearance on Indian Idol Season 15, she reminisced about the experience.Hema Malini shared that she was pregnant with Esha while filming the Holi song. Her dedication to work amazed everyone, with Shreya Ghoshal calling it “inspiring.”
Hema Malini and Dharmendra have two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. They welcomed Esha on July 28, 1981, and Ahana in 1985.
Esha Deol debuted in Bollywood with the 2002 romantic thriller Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. She starred in hits like Dhoom and Dus but took a break after facing setbacks. She later returned with the web series Rudra: The Edge of Darkness (2022) and Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega (2023).

Ahana Deol debuted in the 2002 film Na Tum Jaano Na Hum but later took a break from acting. She married Vaibhav Vohra in 2014.
Dharmendra also has two sons, actors Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, from his first marriage.
