Virat Kohli, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru star, revealed his thoughts about potential roommates from his IPL team during a recent event. While expressing his preference for wicketkeeper-batter Jitesh Sharma as a roommate, Kohli specifically mentioned he wouldn’t choose young batter Swastik Chikara, who has been following him around in the dressing room during IPL 2025.
Responding to a question about preferred roommates from RCB, Kohli directly addressed the situation with Swastik Chikara, a newcomer who considers the Indian cricket star as his big brother.

“For I wouldn’t: I’d say it’s Swastik Chikara. Because he doesn’t leave me alone, so, definitely not him,” Kohli said with a laugh in a video shared by RCB on social media.
However, the 36-year-old cricketer showed interest in sharing a room with Jitesh Sharma, praising the wicketkeeper-batter’s personality and on-field intelligence.
“But one guy I think is really funny, but he’s not opened up with me properly, is Jitesh [Sharma]. I would want to see that really fun, raw side of him because I can see it in his eyes, he’s got that mischief about him. He’s very street smart, you can see on the field, he finds different ways of looking at things. So, I would like to get to know him more,” Kohli explained.

Swastik Chikara, who previously played for Delhi Capitals and represents Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket, is yet to make his IPL debut for RCB this season despite his notable performances in the Uttar Pradesh T20 League.
Jitesh Sharma, who was acquired by RCB for Rs 11 crore at the mega auction, has been having an impressive season with the team, building on his extensive experience in T20 cricket.
