Has Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor already decided the name of their second child, after Raha? Actress reveals...

Neetu Kapoor suggested the name Raha for Ranbir and Alia Bhatt’s daughter, symbolizing joy and peace. On Jay Shetty’s podcast, Alia shared the story behind the name and revealed that she has already chosen a boy’s name.
Alia shared that after picking a boy’s name, they started looking for a girl’s name. Ranbir’s mother, Neetu Kapoor, suggested the name Raha, saying it would go well with the boy’s name if they had both a son and a daughter. She also suggested another name combo for two girls. However, Alia and Ranbir loved Raha instantly and decided on both names ahead of time.

When asked about Raha Kapoor‘s name, Alia Bhatt shared that it means peace, joy, and bliss—just like their daughter brings to their lives. Alia and Ranbir welcomed Raha in 2022.

Alia also shared that she was always fascinated by television as a child. She still discusses this childhood interest with her mother, remembering it vividly.

The actress further revealed that her mother sometimes questions if she was a bad parent for allowing too much screen time. Now, Alia is very mindful of managing her own daughter’s screen exposure.
On the work front, Alia was last seen in Jigra alongside Vedang Raina. She is currently filming Alpha, a YRF spy thriller with Sharvari and Bobby Deol. Up next, she will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
Ranbir, on the other hand, has several upcoming projects, including Ramayana Part One and Two, Animal Park, and Dhoom 4.
