Grand Theft Auto fans will have to wait a bit longer to get their hands on the latest video game.
The release of Grand Theft Auto VI, the latest installment of the series, will be pushed back to May 26, 2026, Rockstar Games said in a statement on Friday. The game was expected to be released later this year.
“We are very sorry that this is later than you expected,” Rockstar Games said.
“With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception,” they added. “We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve.”
