When former Union Minister VK Singh’s daughter, Yogja Singh approached the dealer, Anand Prakash for registration of the property, instead of facilitating the registration, he issued her a notice to evict her, claiming that she was merely a tenant

Yogja Singh, daughter of former Union Minister VK Singh, has filed a complaint with the Kavi Nagar police station in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad claiming that she was defrauded of Rs 3.48 crore by an iron trader, Anand Prakash, in a house sale gone wrong.

Singh claimed that she had entered into an agreement with Prakash in 2014 to purchase a house in Ghaziabad’s Raj Nagar area for Rs 5.50 crore to be paid in several installments. Singh had paid an advance of Rs 10 lakh and received possession of the property.

In 2017, she signed an agreement for a property loan and paid Prakash an additional Rs 33.5 lakh. Between 2018 and 2023, she made further payments totaling Rs 3 crore.

According to Singh, after securing a bank loan of Rs 2 crore, she approached Prakash for registration of the property. However, instead of facilitating the registration, Prakash allegedly issued her a notice to evict her, claiming that she was merely a tenant.

This is not the first instance of legal trouble for Prakash. Earlier, a case had been filed against him for allegedly occupying the same property illegally. The Kavi Nagar police are investigating the matter.
