NEW DELHI: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally broke their 17-year losing streak at MA Chidambaram Stadium, defeating Chennai Super Kings by 50 runs in their IPL 2025 clash on Friday. This was RCB’s first win at the venue since their 14-run triumph on May 21, 2008, during the inaugural IPL season.
It was the tenth meeting between the two popular franchises at Chepauk, where CSK had dominated with eight consecutive wins since 2010. While CSK went on to win five IPL titles during this period, RCB continued their search for a maiden championship.
