Ektaa R Kapoor sarcastically opens up on body-shaming, says, 'Let's normalise curves' in new VIDEO: 'Women above 30, jinke metabolism pe humla...'

Ektaa R Kapoor is known for being one of the most powerful women in the television industry who has also successfully ventured into producing movies. Known for always breaking stereotypes, Ektaa has now dropped a video dripping in sarcasm, talking about the kind of suggestions people give when one puts on weight. In a video that she shared on Instagram, Ektaa wrote as caption, “Ozempic ho jaye.”
She says in this video, “I am in Chennai, I have some time so thought of making this post. What do I do? I have gained a lot of weight. Should I do an anti-inflammatory diet, Mounjaro, Ozempic. All of the above? Zip my mouth? Ya chhod du? Hum bade hi achche lagte hain?”
She dropped another video with the caption, “Let’s normalise. Curves!!!!” She said in the video, “Also, I was talking to this actor for a new franchise of mine. No, Not Naagin. And I was telling her to put on some weight, in a healthy way of course.” She further gave the reason for it and said, “Because thoda sa toh representation chahiye. For women above 30 jinke metabolism pe hamla ho raha hai age ka, hormones ka. Uska representation toh chahiye. (Because there needs to be some representation for women over 30 whose metabolism is affected by age and hormones. That representation is needed).”
Ektaa added, “This is in a way saying that if you have a little bit of extra weight and you are crossing a certain age as a woman. Sometimes after 25, and you’re working or taking care of your kids. You are exercising, but not losing weight as fast as you used to earlier. It could be your metabolism, inflammation. It needs to be represented.”
Many women agreed with Ektaa and lauded her for this message. Actress Divyanka Tripathi wrote, “I am there na! Representing them all, always struggling between sizes but not giving up on workout or being myself!😁🙋‍♀️That’s a wonderful message for everyone EK!❤️❤️❤️”
