A raid by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is underway at the residence of the former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar MCH, Sandip Ghosh. Raids are also underway at the houses of Ghosh’s three close associates.
Earlier in the week, Ghosh was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with alleged financial irregularities at the medical establishment during his tenure. On Tuesday, Ghosh was sent to eight days of police custody.
Ghosh was earlier removed from his chair at RG Kar MCH after the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at the hospital on August 9.
