Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela have been trending online after his mother, Mala Tiwari, seemingly hinted at their relationship at an award show in Jaipur. When asked about her future daughter-in-law, she responded, ‘The family wants a good doctor,’ fueling speculation, as Sreeleela is a Tollywood actress pursuing medicine.
Sreeleela, born on June 14, 2001, has made a mark in Telugu and Kannada films. Despite coming from an orthodox family, she pursued acting alongside her medical studies. Before completing her MBBS in 2021, she debuted in Kiss. A trained Bharatnatyam dancer, she continues balancing both careers.
Sreeleela is the daughter of Swarnalatha, a gynecologist in Bangalore. She was born after her mother separated from industrialist Surapaneni Subhakara Rao. When Sreeleela entered the film industry, she was linked to Surapaneni, which he disapproved of. He later clarified his stance in an official press conference. In 2021, Surapaneni Subhakara Rao held a press conference stating that Sreeleela was not his daughter. He clarified that his ex-wife, Swarnalatha, gave birth to the actress after their separation. He also urged the media to stop associating his name with her.
In 2022, Sreeleela adopted two differently-abled children, Guru and Shobhitha, after visiting an orphanage. Feeling an instant connection, she decided to provide them with a better life. As per reports, she took this step before the release of her film By Two Love.

Sreeleela’s net worth is around Rs 15 crores, according to a report. Initially, she charged ₹4 lakhs per hour for films. With Bhagavanth Kesari, her fee rose to Rs 1.5 crore, later increasing to Rs 3 crore. She eventually raised her remuneration to Rs 4 crore for her upcoming projects.
Kartik Aaryan and Sreeleela will team up for the first time in Anurag Basu’s upcoming untitled film. A teaser featured Kartik singing Tu Meri Zindagi with glimpses of their romantic scenes. The film is set for a Diwali 2025 release.
