Actor Darshan was arrested in June for his alleged connection to the Renukswamy murder case, which sent shockwaves across the Sandalwood industry. There were several reports about the actor’s condition behind bars. Now, as per the latest reports, a man is garnering media’s attention, who claims to have been an inmate in the same jail as Darshan. Talking to News18, the inmate named Siddharoodha claimed that he met Darshan at the Parappana Agrahara jail. According to him, he engaged in a conversation with the actor for about 12 minutes. As per the reports, the man detailed the food they eat in prison and how poorly made it is. He stated, “It is very difficult for us to adjust to the food.”
Mentioning Darshan, Siddharoodha stated that he is losing weight and his skin is getting pale. The former inmate claimed that each moment the actor is repenting. One can see it clearly on his face and eyes.
Speaking further, he said Darshan spends most of his time reading books in the room. Sometimes he takes a short walk. They bring him the books from the jail library. He claimed that the actor has collected around 15 to 20 books. The books include Bhagavad Gita, Ramayana, Mahabharata along with autobiographies of names like Yogi and Vivekananda. As per more reports, filmmaker Tarun Sudheer also sent two books to the actor.
According to Siddharoodha, this is how Darshan is spending his time behind bars. He is trying to push through the days by immersing himself in reading.
Going by the reports, Siddharoodha spent 22 years in jail and is currently out on parole. Claiming to be a fan of the actor, he asked the authorities to meet Darshan, since he was coming out of the prison. So, when they went to the actor and told him a fan wanted to meet him, he allowed it, Siddharoodha claimed.
