LA Tourism is set to launch its celebrated Dine LA Restaurant Week once again, spanning from July 12 to July 26, 2024. This 15-day gastronomic festival highlights the rich and varied food scene of Los Angeles. The upcoming season of Dine LA showcases an impressive array of over 300 restaurants from 68 different neighborhoods, featuring 28 international cuisines for food enthusiasts to explore. The number of participating venues is expected to increase as more establishments sign up ahead of the event’s commencement. This year’s event is particularly special as it marks the 16th anniversary of Dine LA by honoring the four pioneering restaurants that have been involved since its inception—Lawry’s Beverly Hills, Tam O’Shanter, Dal Rae Restaurant, and Michael’s on Naples Ristorante—alongside newcomers like Dulan’s on Crenshaw Soul Food Restaurant, Pez Coastal Kitchen, and Bludso’s BBQ.
“Los Angeles has an extraordinary restaurant culture and Dine LA is here to serve as a resource for local and visiting diners to discover our City’s vast variety of cuisines and culinary creativity,” said Stacey Sun, Executive Director of Dine LA. “We’re thrilled to return to our summer programming and spotlight Los Angeles’ best-in-class food offerings with a diverse range of price points for all to enjoy.”
Crafted by LA Tourism, Dine LA Restaurant Week not only promotes LA’s vibrant dining landscape but also offers meals at various price points from $15 to $65 and higher, both for lunch and dinner. This initiative aims to boost tourism across LA County by positioning the city as a top global culinary destination.
“We are proud to be home to one of the world’s most diverse, eclectic, and innovative culinary communities,” said Adam Burke, President and CEO of Los Angeles Tourism. “Dine LA presents a special opportunity to support the local restaurant scene while discovering new neighborhood favorites to Michelin stars, and everything in between.”
This season is notable for its historical culinary achievements; Los Angeles is home to nine of the ten recent additions to Michelin’s California guide, emphasizing its status as a major dining hub. Moreover, the city is proud to have 25 Michelin-starred restaurants, contributing to California’s record of having the most Michelin-starred establishments in the United States, totaling 87.
Included in this year’s Dine LA are several Michelin-starred and Bib Gourmand restaurants offering a myriad of cuisines, including Citrin, Shibumi, Pasta|Bar, Kali, hibi, Badmaash DTLA, and Coni’Seafood. Additionally, various LA hotels host restaurants participating in Dine LA, offering a combination of dining and accommodation options for guests. These include Lucky Mizu, Qué Bárbaro, and Maison Kasai at Level 8 at Moxy/AC Hotel, DTLA; Marco Polo at Silver Lake Pool & Inn; Shirley Brasserie at The Hollywood Roosevelt; and Cabra at The Hoxton, DTLA.
In preparation for Dine LA, LA Tourism will host an event at Smorgasburg Los Angeles on Sunday, June 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at ROW DTLA. This event, free and open to the public, will feature exclusive Dine LA menus from popular Smorgasburg vendors for the second consecutive year.
Dine LA offers a unique opportunity for both locals and visitors to dive into the culinary delights of Los Angeles, encouraging them to share and enjoy their experiences and favorite dishes as the summer event kicks off on July 12.
