Chiranjeevi's team dismisses rumors of honorary UK citizenship

Megastar Chiranjeevi recently found himself at the center of rumors suggesting he would be awarded honorary UK citizenship for his philanthropic work, particularly in healthcare. However, his team dismissed these claims, urging media outlets to verify facts before publishing. The confusion reportedly was about him being invited to receive a special honor at an event in the UK, which some misinterpreted as citizenship recognition.
The speculation started after Chiranjeevi was announced as a recipient of a special honor at an upcoming event in the UK. Misinterpretations of this announcement led to claims that the UK government would award him honorary citizenship. Fan pages and memes further fueled the rumors, with some posts praising Chiranjeevi’s humanitarian efforts and international recognition. One viral meme even described the supposed honor as “another jewel in megastar Chiranjeevi’s crown.”
However, Chiranjeevi’s team issued a statement urging media outlets to verify facts before publishing such news. The social media handle’s statement reads, “Reports of megastar #Chiranjeevi Garu receiving honorary UK citizenship are false. We request news outlets to verify before publishing any such news.”
On the professional front, Chiranjeevi is gearing up for his next big release, ‘Vishwambhara,’ a Telugu fantasy film directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The actor will be seen in a powerful new avatar.

He has signed a film with director Srikanth Odela, which is currently in pre-production. This yet-to-be-titled film is said to be a violent action drama where Chiranjeevi will once again showcase a never-seen-before look. The project is presented by actor Nani and will begin production after Srikanth Odela wraps up his current film, ‘The Paradise,’ with Nani.
