The 2025 historic epic ‘Chhaava’ starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandann’s Telugu dub hits theatres across Telugu states. Directed by Laxman Utekar, ‘Chhaava’ is a cinematic tribute to the valiant life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the fearless son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The film has been a massive success in its Hindi version, grossing huge numbers is now poised to captivate Telugu audiences with its gripping narrative and powerful performances.

‘Chhaava’ portrays the unwavering resistance of Sambhaji Maharaj against the Mughal Empire, led by Aurangzeb. Vicky Kaushal brings to life the courageous Maratha king, while Rashmika Mandanna plays his wife, Maharani Yesubai. The ensemble cast includes Akshaye Khanna as Aurangzeb, Ashutosh Rana as Hambirrao Mohite, and Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum. The film is based on the Marathi novel ‘Chhava’ by Shivaji Sawant, ensuring a rich historical context.

The film will be screened in over 550 theaters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, marking one of the widest releases for a dubbed film in the region.

Despite its massive success in Hindi, Chhaava faces stiff competition in Telugu states, particularly from other dubbed films releasing on the same day. Rashmika Mandanna’s involvement in promotions could be a game-changer, given her immense popularity among Telugu viewers. Her active participation in Hindi promotions, even while recovering from an injury, set a high standard for engagement.

Vicky Kaushal has also expressed his gratitude to fans for their support, hoping that Chhaava will touch hearts in Telugu-speaking regions. The Telugu trailer has garnered significant attention, with nearly five million views, indicating a strong interest in the film.
