'Chhaava' box office collection day 8 (Live): The Vicky Kaushal starrer roars on second Friday, expected to cross Rs 20 crore

Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna starrer ‘Chhaava’ is having an outstanding run at the box office ever since it released and even now after 8 days, the movie does not seem to be losing its steam. The film has managed to cross Rs 200 crore in the span of 7 days. The film benefitted hugely on Wednesday due to Shivaji Jayanti and scored a whopping Rs 32 crore on a weekday. Meanwhile on Thursday, which is day 7, it saw a drop but remained in the 20-crore range.

Thus, the week one collection of the movie was Rs 219.25 crore. Now on its second Friday, which is day 8, till the afternoon shows, the collection was Rs 5.59 crore. Thus, the total collection of the movie so far, according to Sacnilk is Rs 224.84. According to trade website, Box Office India, the film is expected to cross Rs 20 crore on Friday, till the night shows as there be may more footfalls in the evening and night shows due to holiday on Saturday. Not many movies make above Rs 20 crore on their second Friday, and it is rare, thus if this happens, it will be a huge number.
Meanwhile, Arjun Kapoor, Bhumi Pednekar, Rakul Preet Singh’s ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi‘ has released today but is having a dull opening and facing tough competition from ‘Chhaava’. There have been appeals made to the Maharashtra Government to make Chhaava’ tax free but CM Devendra Fadnavis has not given a nod on that.
