NEW DELHI: Gianluigi Donnarumma’s heroics in the penalty shootout propelled Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to the Champions League quarterfinals after a hard-fought battle against Liverpool.
Despite Liverpool’s dominance at Anfield, PSG held their ground, with Ousmane Dembélé’s goal cancelling out the aggregate deficit. The match went into extra time, and Donnarumma’s saves in the shootout sealed PSG’s progress.
Barcelona comfortably advanced to the quarterfinals with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Benfica.
