'Bottle Radha' OTT release: Find out where to watch Guru Somasundaram starrer on digital space

Guru Somasundaram’s ‘Bottle Radha’ will soon be streaming on the OTT platform after its theatrical release on January 24, 2025. The film, directed and written by Dhinakaran Sivalingam, garnered mixed to positive reviews in theatres. The OTT platform has teased the film’s arrival with a post on social media about its upcoming release.
‘Bottle Radha’ will be streamed on Aha. However, the release date of the film is yet to be announced by them. ‘Bottle Radha’ explores the life of Radha Mani, a construction foreman whose alcoholism threatens to destroy his family life. Against his will, his wife commits him to a de-addiction centre. After weeks, he escapes, promising to quit drinking, but fate has other plans. The film is described as an inspiring story that emphasizes hope, compassion, perseverance, and patience in overcoming life’s challenges. It aims to deliver a heartfelt message without resorting to forced drama.
The movie stars Guru Somasundaram as Radha Mani and Sanchana Natarajan as his wife, Anjalam. The cast also includes John Vijay as Ashokan, Lollu Sabha Maaran, Abhi Ramaiyah, J.P. Kumar, Merku Thodarchi Malai Antony, Pari Elavazhagan, Arumugavel, K.S. Karuna Prasad, and Malathi Ashok Nawin. Suhasini Sanjeev, Aneesha, Madhavi Raj, Kaala Kumar, Siranjivi, Oviyar Sow. Senthil, Naveen George Thomas, Anbarasi, and Shegar Narayana also appear in key roles.
Originally slated for a December 20, 2024 release, ‘Bottle Radha’ was postponed and released on January 24, 2025. The film was cinematographed by Roopesh Shaji and edited by E Sangathamizhan. Sean Roldan composed the music.
Director Dhinakaran Sivalingam revealed that the film is a compelling blend of hope and humor, centering around the journey of a mason, played by Guru Somasundaram. The protagonist, who struggles with alcoholism, faces devastating consequences, losing both his loved ones and his life as he once knew it. However, the narrative focuses on his path to redemption, exploring themes of resilience and transformation. With a runtime of 2 hours and 29 minutes, the film delivers an emotional yet uplifting experience, balancing its serious undertones with moments of lightheartedness.
