Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, known for her global appeal, was offered a role opposite Brad Pitt in ‘Troy.’ The film’s director, Wolfgang Petersen, wanted her to play Briseis, a key character in the epic war drama. However, Aishwarya declined the offer due to concerns over intimate scenes, which she was not comfortable performing at that time. The role eventually went to Rose Byrne. Despite turning down the opportunity, Aishwarya later made her Hollywood debut in ‘The Mistress of Spices’ (2005) and appeared in ‘The Pink Panther 2’ (2009).
