Bill Maher has a new agency; the HBO host is moving to WME.
This deal has been brewing for some time, since Maher left CAA. He was spotting dining with Endeavor boss Ari Emanuel back in March.
At that time, news emerged that Maher supposedly fired CAA after not being invited to an Oscar party at Bryan Lourd’s house. The so-called snub happened days after HBO renewed Real Time with Bill Maher for two more seasons, running through 2026.
WME will represent Maher in all areas of entertainment. Maher is on his 22nd season of Real Time.
When his show was renewed in March, Maher said “two more years in the dream job of a lifetime, on the network so many dream of being on – I think that’s what we call a no-brainer.”
