Minnie Driver is joining the DC animated universe in an unexpected role.

On Saturday, the Academy Award nominee was announced as the voice of Oswalda Cobbelpot, a gender-swapped version of The Penguin, during Batman: Caped Crusader‘s panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

The first episode of the series was screened during the panel, featuring Driver’s debut as The Penguin.

Driver was in attendance, participating in a talk following the screening with co-stars Hamish Linklater and Jamie Chung, as well as executive producer Matt Reeves. The panel kicked off with a video message from EP Bruce Timm.

J.J. Abrams also produces the 10-episode animated series, which is available to stream Thursday, Aug. 1 on Prime Video.
