NEW DELHI: Baramulla is one of the parliamentary constituencies in Jammu & Kashmir.
Jammu & Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic Party (JKPDP), Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) are some of the major political parties that contest to win a seat from the constituency.
According to the Election Commission announcement, voting in Baramulla will be conducted in the fifth phase on May 20 with counting of votes on June 4.
JKNC’s vice president Omar Abdullah, JKPC chairman Sajjad Gani Lone along with independent candidate former J&K MLA Engineer Sheikh Er Rashid, who is currently lodged in Tihar Jail, are the the key candidates from this constituency.
The Lok Sabha constituency encompasses 18 assembly segments across four districts: Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, and Budgam
