Vehicle segments demonstrated steady performance in May 2025, as indicated in a recent analysis from the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers, quoted by ANI.The combined domestic sales figures for passenger vehicles, three-Wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles reached 20,12,969 units in May 2025.The strongest performance was observed in two-wheeler and passenger vehicle categories. However, three-wheelers and quadricycles experienced a downturn in their numbers. The report highlighted that two-wheeler category, including scooters, motorcycles, and mopeds, showed an increase of 2.2 per cent in May 2025 when compared to the previous year’s figures.Within two-wheelers, scooter sales grew by 7.1 per cent domestically, whilst motorcycle sales remained unchanged, and moped sales decreased by approximately 8 per cent.
