Abhishek Bachchan and Amy Jackson had a special meeting at the recent annual gala dinner hosted by The British Asian Trust at The Peninsula London on February 12. Amy’s husband, actor Ed Westwick, took to his social media handle to share a colourful picture of the trio taken at the event.

Westwick posted a red carpet picture featuring himself alongside Amy and Abhishek. Amy looked stylish in a golden long gown adorned with heavy stonework, and the soon-to-be mother gracefully flaunted her baby bump in the outfit. Meanwhile, Abhishek stole the spotlight in an all-black formal suit set, paired with a white shirt. Amy’s husband also looked classy in an all-black formal suit.
Westwick expressed his happiness at attending the event, writing, “£750k raised last night with @thebritishasiantrust!! Lovely people, incredible stories, and wonderful food! Congratulations to the team on all their great work (sic).”
The gala also featured a mesmerising performance by singer Kanika Kapoor and offered cosy glimpses of the event, from the elegant décor to the exquisite meal.
Abhishek Bachchan celebrated his 49th birthday on February 5 and was showered with a heartfelt social media post by his wife, actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. She shared an adorable childhood picture of him along with warm wishes for his good health. The post went viral on the internet, especially as rumours of a divorce between the couple had been circulating for a long time. Fans even apologised for their speculations and hateful comments after seeing Aishwarya’s birthday post for Abhishek.
On the work front, Abhishek is reportedly set to take on a negative role in director Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film King, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead. The movie will also feature King Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, in a key role.
