Amitabh Bachchan finalises another land of 54,454 square feet in Ayodhya, 10 kms away from Ram Mandir; to build memorial for Harivanshrai Bachchan

After the pran pratishtha of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Amitabh Bachchan has inked another land deal there. The land has been purchased by the ‘Harivansh Rai Bachchan’ trust and is of 54,454 square feet. It is also 10 kilometres away from the Ram mandir. This is the second land associated with the Bachchans in Ayodhya. Earlier, Big B had bought another pice of land on January 16 in Haveli Avadh. The transaction was valued at Rs 4.54 crore at that point in time.
Pratap Singh, who is the assistant inspector general of the stamp and and registration department of Ayodhya told Times Of India, “We can only confirm that sale deeds have taken place. Once the building plan is approved by the local development authority, one would know what is going to be the purpose of the two investments.”
Both the land deals were done by Rajesh Rishikesh Yadav on behalf of Amitabh Bachchan and Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial Trust. A source has said that the land bought earlier in Haveli Avadh and close to Ram Mandir could be used for residential purposes while the bigger land bought now can be utilised for a social or charitable cause.
Bachchan had launched the Harivansh Rai Bachchan Memorial trust in 2013. He had said on his blog, “I am happy to announce the formation of a Trust in the memory of my Father – HRB Memorial Trust – which shall work to collect funds for charity. My own efforts at creating events or acts to contribute to it shall be prime, and the list of the charitable work done shall be soon visible to all.”
