Ameesha Patel shares heartfelt memories of Sushant Singh Rajput: 'He was a real star and we lost him too soon'

Ameesha Patel made her debut in the 2000 film ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai‘, which became a massive hit and established her as a promising newcomer. In 2023, she made a successful comeback with ‘Gadar 2‘, which achieved immense success. With a career spanning over two decades and a lasting fan base, she remains a beloved figure in Bollywood. Recently, during an interview, Ameesha Patel talked about the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
Talking to Bollywood Bubble, Ameesha recalled a Christmas party where they took a photo together, which is one of the few memories she has with him. The actress expressed her sadness that they can no longer create new memories, describing Sushant as a “real shining star” who was lost too soon.
Ameesha and Sushant never collaborated on a full-fledged film. However, they both worked in the 2018 film ‘Thugs of Hindostan’, albeit without sharing screen space. The actress had a special cameo, while Sushant was not part of the main cast.
On June 14, 2020, Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra apartment in Mumbai. Initially, his death was classified as a suicide by the Mumbai police, but his family raised allegations of foul play, leading to further investigations by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and other agencies. Despite ongoing inquiries, no conclusive findings have been reported, and his death remains a mystery.
Sushant was known for his roles in films like ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’, ‘Kedarnath’, and ‘Chhichhore’ and his final film, ‘Dil Bechara‘ was released posthumously.
