Ameesha Patel reveals Sanjay Dutt's protective side: 'No western clothes allowed at his home'

After marking her debut in 2000 with the film ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’, Ameesha Patel stole hearts with her iconic roles in ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’, ‘Gadar 2‘, ‘Humraaz’, ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ and others.
The actress recently shared a memory of celebrating her birthday with Dutt during an interview with Bollywood Bubble. She recalled that Sanjay is very protective and insists she wear traditional clothing like salwaar kameez when visiting his home. Ameesha also mentioned that Sanjay often comments on her innocence in the film industry. She said, “He even jokes about arranging my marriage, finding me a suitable partner, and performing my kanyadaan.”
She went on to say, “You know, Sanju is super protective and really cares about me. He’s always checking in to see if I’m doing okay. This was one of my birthdays, and we celebrated at his place, just a low-key party with cake.”
On the work front, Ameesha Patel last played her iconic role as Sakeena in the 2023 blockbuster ‘Gadar 2’, which reunited her with Sunny Deol and reignited nostalgia for the original ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. Following the film’s massive success, the actress has been engaging with fans and hinting at upcoming projects. Although she hasn’t announced her next film, reports indicate she’s considering new scripts and may soon return to the big screen with another exciting venture.
