Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ celebrated its 25th anniversary with a re-release. Ameesha said a sequel should be made as the audience wants it. She recalled the film’s surreal impact, turning her into a sensation alongside Hrithik, with fans still cherishing its timeless appeal.

Ameesha Patel and Hrithik Roshan debuted in Bollywood 25 years ago with ‘Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai’. This year, the film celebrated its 25th anniversary by being re-released in theaters. Fans were delighted to relive the on-screen chemistry between Hrithik and Ameesha, and many have been asking for a sequel. Now, Ameesha has shared her thoughts on the matter.
The actress was spotted at the airport, and was asked by the paps about the possibility of a sequel to ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’ at the airport, the actress responded, “Ask Rakesh uncle or Hrithik. It should be made as the audience wants it.”
Earlier, in a conversation with News18, Ameesha recalled about the film’s profound impact on her life. She shared, “From being a normal boy and girl-next-door, we became sensations. Rohit and Sonia became the nation’s crush. It wasn’t an ordinary film. People took home the characters. I was numb for many, many days after that. I don’t know how it sank in. It was just surreal!”.
The actress recalled on the impact of ‘Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai’and its success, saying, “With a film like Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, you live in their hearts. The characters were not just part of the movie; people took them home. Rohit and Sonia became the nation’s crushes. Everywhere you go—airports, restaurants, gyms—people recognize you, ask for autographs, and want pictures. That’s your first experience with stardom, and it’s euphoric.”
