A man allegedly made his friend rape his wife and filmed the assault. The husband then allegedly blackmailed his wife, demanding Rs 2 lakh and threatening to release the video online. Police have registered a case and arrested both the husband and his friend.
The victim works as a labourer in Agra’s Sita Nagar area, which falls under the purview of Etmaddaula police station. She has a 12-year-old son.
The woman claimed her husband comes home a few days every month. She said that in September, her husband came home with his friend, a resident of Achhnera in Agra. He brought food from outside, and they had dinner together. Afterward, she went to sleep with her son.
When the woman woke up, her husband demanded Rs 5,000 for some work. The woman gave him the amount. After a few days, the man called his wife and demanded Rs 2 lakh. He said that if she did not give the money to him, he would make a video he shot of her go viral.
When she asked about the video, her husband showed it to her. On seeing the video, the woman realised that her husband, in a drunken state, had allegedly made her friend rape her. The woman pleaded with her husband not to make the video viral, but the husband was adamant about his demand for Rs 2 lakh.
The woman lodged a complaint at the police station. The police have registered a case. The accused husband and his friend have been arrested.
Speaking about the case, ACP Hemant Kumar said, “A woman has filed a complaint against her husband in Etmaddolla police station of Agra claiming that he got her raped by his friend. The woman said that her husband got her raped by his friend after giving her intoxicants and also made a video. The husband also demanded Rs 2 lakh from his wife. He threatened to make the video viral if the wife did not give him Rs 2 lakh. The husband also sent the video to his wife’s mobile. The police have registered a case under relevant sections and arrested the woman’s husband and his friend.”
