In June 2024, Explorer World of Travel Group, a German key distribution partner, in alliance with AERticket carried on a training weekend in Berlin for their sales staff members. With workshops, the event started off along with on-stage presentations for the 150 Explorer Fernreisen and STA Travel staff. A presentation on Australian facts and the Aussie Specialist Program was presented by Tourism Australia .
The Aussie Specialist Program is a ground-breaking online course, specifically made to offer frontline travel sellers the necessary information and skills required to sell Australia in the right way possible to their customers. The Aussie Specialist Program is an international online training program of Tourism Australia. It is shared by eight states and territory tourism partners. The program is offered in all the main markets in 9 different languages.
From varied companies, 150 additional agents took part in the official ‘Spring Day’ for on-stage presentations on the second day of the event along with a BBQ and a 4-hour travel market. Tourism Australia, at the travel market, represented facts about Australia with the help of an interactive ‘Wheel of Fortune’ activation. The event came to an end with a networking session for all delegates. The feedback of the participants was that they had truly relished the learning about new things about Australia and the
Aussie Specialist Program.
