Adani Energy Solutions bags Rs 2,800 crore transmission project in Gujarat for green hydrogen and green ammonia manufacturing
AESL, an Adani portfolio company, operates across various energy sectors including transmission, distribution, smart metering.

Adani Energy Solutions Ltd (AESL) has secured a power transmission project in Gujarat that will facilitate the supply of green electrons for Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production in Mundra, Gujarat. The project, valued at Rs 2,800 crore, has a completion timeline of 36 months.
The initiative, titled “Transmission System for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia Manufacturing Potential in Mundra, Gujarat”, encompasses the enhancement of Navinal (Mundra) electrical substation through the installation of two 765/400kV transformers.
The scope includes constructing a 75 km 765kV double-circuit line connecting to the Bhuj substation. This development will enhance AESL’s transmission infrastructure by adding 150 cKM of lines and 3,000 MVA transformation capacity, reaching totals of 25,928 cKM and 87,186 MVA.
The project, awarded through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) with PFC Consulting Limited as coordinator, transferred its SPV to AESL on March 20, 2025. This marks AESL’s sixth project acquisition this fiscal year, elevating their orderbook to Rs 57,561 Crore.
AESL, an Adani portfolio company, operates across various energy sectors including transmission, distribution, smart metering, and cooling solutions. As India’s largest private transmission organisation, it manages 25,928 ckm of network and 87,186 MVA transformation capacity.
The company serves 13 million consumers in Mumbai and Mundra SEZ through its electricity distribution business. AESL is advancing its smart metering operations whilst aiming to become India’s premier smart metering integrator.
AESL is transforming energy delivery through expanded distribution networks, competitive retail solutions, and increased green power integration, offering comprehensive services to end consumers.
