Telugu actor and writer Posani Krishna Murali was taken into custody by the police in Hyderabad on February 26, 2025. The 66-year-old actor was arrested at his residence near New Science Colony, Yellareddyguda, at around 8:45 pm. This move comes after multiple cases were filed against him under non-bailable sections of the law.
The arrest was made under sections 196, 353(2), and 111 read with 3(5) of the IPC, along with other charges as per a News18 report. These sections pertain to serious offenses that are cognizable and non-bailable, meaning that the police can arrest without a warrant and the accused cannot be released on bail as a matter of right.
