'Crazxy' box office collection day 3: The Sohum Shah starrer sees growth over the weekend despite 'Chhaava' dominating at the box office

Sohum Shah’s ‘Crazxy’ released in cinemas on Friday, February 28. The movie had a slow start as it looks like quite a niche film. Just like Sohum’s ‘Tumbbad‘ which took time to grow on people and did well only on OTT and when it re-released in theatres again. Meanwhile, ‘Crazxy’ had a decent word of mouth which led to the film seeing some growth over the weekend. ‘Crazxy’ is produced by Sohum and also stars him. It is directed by Girish Kohli.
On Friday, it made Rs 1 crore. Meanwhile, on Saturday, it saw a growth of 35 percent and made Rs 1.35 crore. On Sunday, it saw a growth of more 11 percent as compared to Saturday. Thus, it made Rs 1.5 crore on day 3. The total collection of the film so far is Rs ₹ 3.85 crore, according to Sacnilk. It may still have scope to remain steady over the weekdays if there is more positive word of mouth. However, the drop on Monday will be inevitible and the numbers on day 4 are expected to be lower. But this is a niche film for the multiplex audience, and thus this sort of number is decent.
Of course, apart from the positive word of mouth, the growt could also be because of the holiday on the weekend. This is still considered good, given the fact that Vicky Kaushal starrer ‘Chhaava’ is completely dominating the box office with no other film really having a chance.
Even on its third Saturday-Sunday, ‘Chhaava’ managed to collect Rs 47 crore at the box office. The film has now crossed Rs 450 crore and is now on its way to touch the 500-crore mark if it continues to remain steady over the weekdays.
