Sonakshi Sinha opens up about sibling rivalry with Luv and Kussh Sinha: 'Bhaiyo ko jalan hoti thi, they would hit me'

Sonakshi Sinha recently reflected on her childhood and the sibling rivalry she shared with her twin brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha. Being the youngest and the only daughter of Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, she received special attention, which, according to her, led to some jealousy from her brothers.
In an interview with Hauterrfly, Sonakshi shared, “Main sabse choti, ghar ki ladki toh sabse laadli. Toh bhaiyo ko jalan bhi toh hoti thi. Toh mujhe padti thi” (I am the youngest child and a girl, so I was the favourite. This made them jealous, and they would hit me).
While she mentioned that fights among siblings are natural, Sonakshi’s alleged rift with her brothers resurfaced during her wedding to Zaheer Iqbal on June 23 last year. Although her brother Kussh was spotted at some events, Luv was absent from the celebrations. Luv also shared cryptic social media posts hinting at underlying family tensions, leading to speculation that he did not approve of Sonakshi’s choice of partner.
Luv then addressed the online buzz surrounding his absence from the wedding, stating on Instagram, “Why I chose not to attend. Running an online campaign against me on a false premise won’t change the fact that for me my family will always come first.”

Shatrughan Sinha, in an interview with Retro Lehren, reaffirmed his support for his daughter’s inter-faith marriage, stating, “Of course, I will support my daughter. I don’t have any reason not to. It’s their life and their wedding. If they are sure about each other, who are we to be against it?”
While he did not comment on why his sons skipped the wedding, he acknowledged their emotions, adding, “I won’t complain. They are only humans. They may still not be so mature. I do understand their pain and confusion… Maybe, if I was their age, I might have had a similar reaction to it.”

Despite the family tensions, Sonakshi and Zaheer have remained unaffected by the controversy, focusing on their new journey together.
