Shreyas Iyer surprises net bowler Jaskiran by gifting him a pair of shoes

Net bowler Jaskiran Singh was in for a surprise during India’s net session at the ICC Academy when batter Shreyas Iyer asked him “what’s yours shoe size?” and then gifted him a pair of shoes.
“Paaji kya haal-chaal, sab badiya?” (How are you, brother – all fine?) Iyer asked Jaskiran, a chartered accounted by profession, who was fielding at long-off.

The young man, who is passionate about cricket, later narrated the entire conversation to PTI Videos.
“Shreyas bhai came up to me and asked ‘what’s your show size?’. I said 10, and then he said I’ve got something for you and he gave me these spikes. It really means a lot,” said Jaskiran, one of the ICC net bowlers for the Champions Trophy.
It lifted Jaskiran’s mood after he couldn’t bowl to the Indian batters in the nets because of the presence of multiple off-spinners during the net session. He had earlier bowled to Pakistan and Bangladesh batters during their net sessions.
“I am a part of the ICC net bowling team for the Champions Trophy. Today was one such special moment of my life. Received these spikes from Shreyas Iyer,” said Jaskiran.
“In this tournament, I’ve fielded for them (India) but was waiting for an opportunity to bowl to them. I’ve bowled to Pakistan and Bangladesh; that was a really good experience. And then this, coming from Shreyas bhai, means a lot.”.
“This really means a lot and the day was special today,” he added.

Can India overcome New Zealand in the ICC Champions Trophy?

Jaskiran expressed his desire to bowl to Rishabh Pant.
“Every batter in Team India is special, but someone whom I look up to is Rishabh Pant because he is a lefty (left-hander) and due to the natural angle, the ball will go away from him. So I would really love to bowl to him,” he said.
India, who have already qualified for the semifinals, will take on New Zealand in their concluding Group A fixture. The Kiwis too have booked a spot in the semis.
