And the star initially tried to dodge Piers’s question when asked if the King had made contact, with Piers kicking off the conversation by enquiring: “When your troubles started, when the scandal blew up, he did reach out to you?”
“Uhm, no, I haven’t heard from him directly, no,” Kevin replied, to which the host pushed: “But through other people?”
Kevin then stuttered as he answered: “That might be true.”
“Come on, Kevin,” Piers retorted. “You’ll know whether that’s true or not — he’s now the King of England!”
“I do, but you know,” Kevin began to stutter again, and when Piers asked once more: “But he did contact you?” Kevin repeated: “No, he did not contact me directly, no.”
