Vicky Kaushal reveals the hilarious reason behind Asha Bhosle's 'Tauba Tauba' reaction: 'Unhone bahut hi darr ke saath meri taraf dekha...'

Vicky Kaushal is currently enjoying the success of his latest film, ‘Chhaava‘, a period drama that has captivated audiences and critics alike with his impressive performance. Recently, he attended an event in Mumbai, where he shared a humorous anecdote involving the legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, who was also present.
The actor took to Instagram to express his gratitude to the Maharashtra government for the invitation. He then said in a video, “Asha mam baithi thi waha pe. Unhone bahut hi darr ke saath meri taraf dekha aur mujhse pucha ‘tum bhi kavita padhoge’. Meine kaha ‘han’. She seemed surprised and questioned, “Marathi madhe? Meine kaha, ‘haan’. Asha mam mhantle ‘Tauba Tauba.'”
“Grateful to Shri. Raj Thackarey Ji for making me a part of the ‘Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din’ celebrations yesterday. Honoured to be sharing the stage with the most wonderful and talented minds,” read the caption.
The historical action drama ‘Chhaava’, directed by Laxman Utekar, has been performing very well at the box office. Released on February 14, the film has benefited from holidays and positive reviews. Based on Shivaji Sawant’s novel, ‘Chhaava’ tells the story of Maratha ruler Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, played by Vicky Kaushal. The film also features Akshaye Khanna as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as Yesubai, Divya Dutta as Soyarabai, and Diana Penty as Zinat-un-Nissa Begum.
Following the success, ‘Chhaava’ is now gearing up for a Telugu release. The makers recently made the announcement, unveiling a poster featuring Vicky Kaushal as Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj. The Telugu version is set to hit theaters on March 7.
