Inside Jeh Ali Khan’s Mario-themed birthday bash: Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan celebrate with style

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan threw a Mario-themed birthday celebration for their youngest son, Jeh Ali Khan ahead of his fourth birthday. The intimate gathering took place on Saturday, February 15, 2025, giving friends and family the opportunity to celebrate the milestone over the weekend. Jeh officially turns four on February 21.
The party’s venue was transformed into a vibrant Mario-themed wonderland, featuring mushrooms, balloon arrangements, life-sized statues of Mario and custom displays with Jeh’s name prominently showcased. The event planning company shared glimpses of the whimsical decor on their Instagram page, while Kareena Kapoor also took to social media to express her gratitude to the team for bringing Jeh’s favorite game to life.
Several family members and close friends joined in the celebration, including Kareena’s father, Randhir Kapoor and Shloka Ambani, who attended with her children. The celebration had a cozy yet festive atmosphere, similar to last year’s Spiderman-themed birthday party for Jeh, where his aunt, Saba Pataudi, shared candid moments of the family enjoying the festivities. That gathering included Kareena, Saif, Soha Ali Khan and Soha’s daughter, Inaaya.
However, fewer photos were shared from Jeh’s party this year due to the family’s decision to maintain privacy following a concerning incident. In January 2025, Saif Ali Khan was the victim of a knife attack, leading the couple to issue a statement asking the media to avoid photographing their sons, Taimur and Jeh.
Saif recently spoke to Delhi Times about the aftermath of the attack and how the family coped. He revealed that while Taimur expressed a desire to forgive the attacker, Jeh took a different approach. “Jeh handed me a plastic sword and said, ‘Keep this by your bed for the next time the chor comes.’ He’s convinced that ‘Geeta saved Abba and Abba saved me,’” Saif shared with a chuckle. He also mentioned that Taimur has become more aware of security matters, while Sara and Ibrahim were deeply affected by the incident. Ibrahim, in particular, has been spending more time with his father to offer support.
Despite the challenges, Saif expressed gratitude for his family’s unity and strength during this time. Jeh’s Mario-themed celebration was a testament to the family’s resilience and love, as they continue to find joy in the small moments together.
