Lok Sabha elections: CWC praises Kharge, Gandhis for poll efforts | India News – Times of India

NEW DELHI: The Congress Working Committee (CWC), in a resolution, praised the efforts of party chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in the just concluded Parliamentary elections.
Meanwhile, asked if Rahul will retain Rae Bareli or Amethi, AICC general secretary K C Venugopal said the decision will be announced within four days.
Talking about Kharge, the resolution noted, “The sheer energy and determination of Kharge was an inspiration to everyone.He was bold and fearless both in Parliament and outside.” Rahul is said to have specially praised octogenarian Kharge’s tireless campaign.
Kharge lauded Rahul’s Yatras, noting that the party’s votes and seats had increased on their route, naming Meghalaya, Manipur, Assam, Nagaland and Maharashtra. He said Rahul converted the Constitution, unemployment, inflation, economic inequality, social justice and harmony into “people’s issues”, adding that “panch nyay” manifesto emerged from his interactions with common people during his yatras. The resolution said, “More than any other individual, it was Rahul who made the protection of our Republic’s Constitution the central issue in the 2024 elections.”
Calling “Priyanka’s campaign as nothing short of being brilliant”, the CWC said she exposed the BJP relentlessly and communicated the Congress’s key messages powerfully.
