Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar resolve their defamation case, share rare PIC together as their long feud ends - SEE inside

Kangana Ranaut and Javed Akhtar have been fighting a legal battle since 2020. This was after Kangana’s public spat with Hrithik Roshan in 2016. Kangana had spoken on a television show that Javed Akhtar had threatened her to speak publicly about her issue with Hrithik. Thus, the veteran screenwriter had filed a defamation suit against her.
This case has been going on for a while now, but here’s some good news for their fans. Kangana has now shared a rare pic with Akhtar and revealed that they have resolved their case. The actress took to her Instagram, shared a photo with him and wrote, “Today Javed Ji and I have resolved our legal matter (defamation case) through meditation, in the mediation Javed Ji has been very kind and gracious, he also agreed to write songs for my next directorial.”

For those not in the know, Kangana had said, “Once Javed Akhtar called me to his house and told me Rakesh Roshan (Hrithik’s father ) and his family are very big people. If you don’t apologise to them, you will have nowhere to go. They will put you in jail, and eventually, the only path would be that of destruction… you will commit suicide. These were his words. He shouted and yelled at me. I was shaking in his house.” Thus, Akhtar filed a defamation case against her.
Kangana later filed a counter-complaint in the same court against Akhtar, accusing him of “extortion and criminal intimidation.” In her complaint, Ranaut alleged that after her public dispute with a co-star, the lyricist summoned her and her sister, Rangoli Chandel, to his residence with “malafide intentions and ulterior motives,” where he allegedly threatened and intimidated her.
Kangana has recently turned director as her film ‘Emergency’ released in January which saw her essay the role of Indira Gandhi.
