‘Chhaava’ box office day 12: Vicky Kaushal’s historic drama crosses the Rs. 350 crore mark on Tuesday

Vick Kaushal starrer ‘Chhaava’ has completed a 12-day run at the box office The film based on the novel with the same title shows the Maratha warrior valor in the form of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Shivaji Maharaj. The movie had an impressive opening at the box office, making it the biggest opener of 2025 and Vicky Kaushal’s career so far. As of now as well, the movie has maintained a steady pace, and with the business of Rs. 17 crores (early estimates) on its second Tuesday as per the Sacnilk report, the movie stands at a collection of Rs. 365.25 crore net in India.
The Laxman Utekar directorial had a great second weekend. The movie made ₹44 crore on its second Saturday and ₹40 crore on its second Sunday. Thereafter, on Monday it saw a huge dip of more than 50 percent, and the movie minted only Rs.18.57 crore. As aforementioned, according to the early estimates the Tuesday collection didn’t see any improvement. However, it has been seen that by the second week, especially on the weekdays, movies witness a drop in business

With these numbers, ‘Chhaava’ has become Vicky Kaushal’s highest-earning movie.
Vicky and the other stars of the film including Rashmika Mandanna, Akshaye Khanna, Viineet Kumar Singh, Ashutosh Rana, and more are getting a lot of love from audiences and critics alike. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also gave a shout-out to the movie. “Ye Maharashtra aur Mumbai hi hai jisne Marathi filmo ke saath saath, Hindi cinema ko ye unchai di hai. Aur in dino toh, Chhaava ki dhoom machi hui hai. (Maharashtra and Mumbai have elevated Hindi cinema and Marathi films. And these days, Chhaava is making waves),” he said during the 98th Akhil Bharatiya Marathi Sahitya Sammelan at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi.
