Katrina Kaif, Raveena Tandon and her daughter Rasha Thadani recently attended the Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. They participated in a soul-stirring evening bhajan session led by Parmarth Niketan Ashram President Swami Chidanand Saraswati, immersing themselves in the spiritual atmosphere of the event.
Visuals also showed Swami Chidanand Saraswati and Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati from Parmarth Niketan Ashram, along with Katrina Kaif, Raveena Tandon, Abhishek Banerjee, and Rasha Thadani, performing Aarti at the Maha Kumbh Mela.
On devotees, including celebrities visiting Maha Kumbh in huge numbers, Swami Chidanand Saraswati told ANI, “Mahakumbh is an occasion of ‘Snan, Dhyan and Daan’ (holy dip, meditation and charity). Today, she (Katrina Kaif) took a holy dip, meditated and did ‘Annadaan’. She said that she sees god in everyone… Such a belief system keeps this nation alive. I support the thoughts of PM Modi. The way CM Yogi Adityanath has arranged everything, this is a Mahakumbh of ‘Vyavastha, Arthvyavastha and Astitva’ (arrangement, economy and identity)…This Kumbh is for everyone, those who have not visited till now should come here and take a holy dip…”
Speaking about her experience, Raveena said, “This Kumbh has come after 144 years. My friends and I traveled from Mumbai not just for the Ganga Snaan but also to return to our ‘home.’ Swami ji’s home is my home, the home of my children.”
Katrina also expressed her gratitude and excitement about being part of the sacred event. “I am very fortunate that I could come here this time. I am really happy and grateful. I met Swami Chidanand Saraswati and took his blessings. I am just starting my experience here. I like the energy, beauty, and significance of everything. I am looking forward to spending the whole day here,” she said.
Earlier in the day, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar also participated in the revered ritual, taking a dip in the Triveni Sangam, the holy confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati rivers. He expressed his appreciation for the well-organized arrangements at the venue. Preity Zinta also shared pictures of her visit to Maha Kumbh on social media.
