Meanwhile, Sonu took to Instagram and revealed his reason for getting emotional on stage. He said in a video shared by him, “Today, I had a show in Bengaluru. After performing, I was so emotionally, physically, and mentally drained that I slept for so long. Aaj Bengaluru ke show ke baad samajh aaya ke aaj kabhi kabhi sur naa bhi lage par aisi lau lag jaati hai, aisa maahol ban jaata hai ke log use haathon haath le lete hai, connect kar jaate hai aur ro dete hai. Decided nahi tha ke gaunga. Rehearsal bhi nahi ki thi. Maine socha bijuriya jaise gaane ke baad, jahaan itna naachna, chillana toh gaa paunga ya nahi. Phir gaa liya. Agar gaate gaate ro deta aur gaana pura nahi karta toh log sochte ke chhidake gaana nahi gaaya.”
He added that hopefully he will sing this song better next time if he’s not crying as this time on stage, his singing was affected due to crying. He added, “Agli baar jab gaaunga tab accha gauna kyunki ro nahi raha hounga hopefully. May be kuch cheezein aapko zyada emotional kar deti hai. Yeh gaana mujhe bohot touch kiya.”
He further revealed that he used to cry like this on stage for 3-4 years when his mother passed away. He added, “Aisa main roya tha jab mummy ka dehant hua tha. February 28 ko abhi 12 saal ho jayenge. Tab main 3-4 saal aisa hua ke tab stage pe hamesha rota tha.”
Netizens showered love on the singer as he shared this video. A person said, “A lot of emotions are associated with this song… Even hearing this song in your voice makes me cry, and I can understand how emotional you were while singing it… 😭 But really you sang very well… Sooooo touched 🥺👏 You are a true blessing.. God bless You 😇 Take care of Yourself 🙏❤️”
Another one commented, “The emotion is a blessing in itself 🙏🏽💙. Blessed you are and blessed is the song to have had your vocals.”
