
Elon Musk-owned vehicle manufacturer Tesla inaugurated its second showroom in India at Delhi’s Aerocity, expanding its presence in the country.The American automaker giant is further set to expand its supercharging network across key Indian metropolitan regions ahead of its September delivery commencement, according to a senior company representative on Monday, quoted by ET.At the inauguration of Tesla’s second experience centre in Delhi’s Aerocity, Regional Director South East Asia Isabel Fan announced plans for supercharging facilities in Gurugram, Noida, and an additional location in Saket.Following the establishment of its initial experience centre in Mumbai alongside the Model Y launch priced from Rs 59.89 lakh, the company is prioritising infrastructure development in Delhi and Mumbai.The company will inaugurate its Gurugram supercharging station in the coming weeks, followed by installations in Saket (South Delhi) and Noida.Tesla’s Mumbai expansion includes planned supercharging stations in Lower Parel, Navi Mumbai and Thane, complementing the existing facility at Bandra Kurla Complex.“The other new market, new states… We cannot miss Bangalore very soon,” Fan said, quoted by ET, adding, “we don’t commit five-year plan that we cannot deliver. So whatever we share is a commitment in the upcoming (period).” She additionally announced forthcoming launches of mobile service, remote diagnostics, service centre and Tesla Approved Collision Centre in India.
