Mere Husband Ki Biwi box office collection Day 2: Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar starrer sees minimal growth on Saturday

The romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi, starring Arjun Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, and Bhumi Pednekar, witnessed slight growth at the box office on its second day. After a modest opening of Rs 1.5 crore on Friday, the film’s collections rose to an estimated Rs 1.65 crore on Saturday, bringing its total earnings across all languages to approximately Rs 3.15 crore, according to early estimates from sacnilk.com.
The film recorded an overall Hindi occupancy rate of 15.95%, with morning shows starting at a sluggish 7.17% and night shows seeing a peak occupancy of 27.27%. Despite facing stiff competition from Chhaava, starring Vicky Kaushal, and the Hollywood release Babygirl, featuring Nicole Kidman, Mere Husband Ki Biwi has managed to hold its ground at the box office.
Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is contending with the historical drama Chhaava, which continues to dominate in its second week, earning an estimated Rs 45 crore on Saturday. The competitive box office landscape poses a challenge for rom-com, which has reportedly been produced on a budget of Rs 60 crore, though no official confirmation has been provided.
With a slow start, it remains uncertain how well the film will sustain in the coming days. Comparisons have been drawn with last week’s Hollywood release, Captain America: Brave New World, which opened with similar figures but went on to secure a total first-week collection of Rs 16 crore.
In Mere Husband Ki Biwi, Arjun Kapoor portrays Ankur Chaddha, a man caught in a love triangle with his ex-wife, played by Bhumi Pednekar, and his current love interest, portrayed by Rakul Preet Singh. As the film enters its first week, industry analysts are keen to see if it can gain momentum at the box office.
