The official X account of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) posted a clip comparing a bowl-off between India and Pakistan to Operation Sindoor, in light of the recent cross-border tensions between the two nations. The video shared on X features India and Pakistan bowlers in a bowl-off during the 2007 T20 World Cup, where the Pakistani bowlers failed to hit the target in all three of their attempts.Sarcastically drawing parallels to Pakistan, the BJP quoted the clip of the bowl-out as “Kuch aisa tha #OperationSindoor” (it was something like this). The video dates back to the 2007 T20 World Cup, in which India got the better of their bitter rivals, where the two sides were forced to resort to a bowl-off to determine the winner.Go Beyond The Boundary with our YouTube channel. Operation Sindoor is India’s response to the Pahalgam attack, in which 26 civilians were killed by terrorists in Kashmir on April 22. The retaliatory operation took place on May 7, in which India targeted nine different locations in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), with the intention of eliminating terrorist elements in the region. Following the operation, a ceasefire was agreed upon on May 10, after which tensions have de-escalated.
