NEW DELHI: Following Rohit Sharma’s Test cricket retirement, former Indian cricketer Madan Lal, who played an influential role in India’s World Cup win in 1983, suggested that Jasprit Bumrah should be considered for the team’s leadership role. With Rohit’s departure creating a leadership gap before India’s ICC World Test Championship series against England in June, the search for a new captain has begun.In his conversation with ANI regarding potential captaincy candidates, Madan Lal stated, “Jasprit Bumrah should get a chance.
