CHENNAI: State-owned Indian Bankis set to roll out an app for UPI transactions. The app will initially target Indian Bank customers. “We will be launching the app in the current quarter,” Indian Bank MD & CEO Binod Kumar told TOI during an interview.” The primary purpose is to start with our customers and if it is successful we may open it for the other customers (holding accounts with other banks),” he said. The bank recorded 2.7 crore daily UPI transactions in FY25, a 71% increase from 1.6 crore per day during FY24.
