Bangladesh secured a commanding victory in the second Test against Zimbabwe, winning by an innings and 106 runs on Wednesday within three days to square the series 1-1.
After winning the toss, Zimbabwe managed 227 in their first innings, whilst Bangladesh responded strongly with 444.

Zimbabwe’s second innings crumbled to 111 during the third day’s second session in Chattogram.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz delivered an outstanding all-round performance, notching up a century and claiming 5-32 with his bowling to inflict a heavy defeat on Zimbabwe. The all-rounder achieved his third five-wicket haul of the series, following his dual five-wicket performances in the Sylhet Test.

Zimbabwe suffered their second consecutive loss at this spin-friendly venue, marking Bangladesh’s second innings victory against them. The previous such defeat occurred in Dhaka in 2020, with an identical margin of an innings and 106 runs.
