BJP MP Nishikant Dubey raises concerns over 'new face of Pakistani terrorism' amid Pahalgam attack fallout

NEW DELHI: BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has raised concerns about what he describes as a “new face of Pakistani terrorism“, claiming that more than five lakh Pakistani women have entered India through marriages.
In a social media post on X, Dubey said that the girls are yet to receive their Indian citizenship.
“A new face of Pakistani terrorism has now emerged. More than 5 lakh Pakistani girls are living in India after getting married, and they have not been granted Indian citizenship yet,” Dubey said.
“How to fight against these enemies who have infiltrated?” he added.
This comes after the government revoked all categories of visas issued to Pakistani citizens, except long-term, diplomatic, and official visas, with immediate effect from April 27 in the wake of last week’s 22 terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
Earlier, Arun Pal, a protocol officer at the Attari Border, reported that 537 Pakistani nationals had left India through the Attari border over the past three days, following the expiration of the deadline for short-term visa holders.
Speaking to ANI, Pal also mentioned that 850 Indian nationals had returned to India during the same period. On Sunday alone, 237 Pakistani nationals returned to their country, while 116 Indian nationals came back.
The terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir Pahalgam area, near the popular tourist town, took place in the Baisaran meadow. It was one of the deadliest attacks in the region since the 2019 Pulwama strike, which resulted in the deaths of 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel.
In response to the incident, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has ramped up its efforts to gather evidence. Teams, led by senior officials including an IG, DIG, and SP from the anti-terror agency, have been stationed at the Pahalgam attack site since April 23. They are actively questioning eyewitnesses who witnessed the attack on April 22.
In addition, the Indian Army remains on high alert, conducting several search operations aimed at neutralizing the terrorists responsible for the attack. The incident has sparked widespread outrage across the country, with protests demanding stronger action against Pakistan in response to the Pahalgam attack.
