Axis Bank profit growth flat in March quarter

MUMBAI: Axis Bank, India’s third-largest private lender, reported a flat net profit of Rs 7,117 crore for the quarter ended March 2025, almost unchanged from Rs 7,130 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.On a consolidated basis, the bank saw a modest 1.6% year-on-year decline in consolidated net profit for Q4 of fiscal 2025, landing at Rs 7,489.7 crore. The drop, down from Rs 7,613.6 crore a year ago, occurred despite higher interest income and loan growth.
The bank ended FY25 with modest growth, reflecting a stable operating environment and disciplined expense management. Operating profit for the quarter to March 31 rose 2% year-on-year to Rs 10,752 crore, while core operating profit climbed 11% year-on-year. Net profit reached Rs 7,117 crore, flat from a year ago but up 13% sequentially.
