HDFC Bank cuts FD rates for some tenures

MUMBAI: In less than two weeks, HDFCBank cut interest rates on FDs for select tenuresby up to 20 basis points (100 basis points = 1 percentage point). For a tenure of 18 to 21 months in withdrawable FDs of less than Rs 3 crore, the bank will pay 7.05% per annum, down from 7.25% earlier.For senior citizens, the rate for this tenure will be 7.55%, down from 7.75% earlier, effective April 21.
